The Municipality of Alanya has introduced a comprehensive urban transformation plan that will encompass all aspects of the city's development. The project aims to create sustainable infrastructure, improve the transportation system, and enhance residential and social areas.
Deputy Mayor of Alanya, Servet Ünlü, announced that the project budget is set at 7.5 million Turkish liras.
Within seven months, a vision for the city's development will be established, with a detailed roadmap extending until 2026.
Chairman of the Alanya Chamber of Civil Engineers, Emrah Yılmaz, noted that this project could be the first of its kind in Turkey.
In addition to improving earthquake resilience, the transformation will enhance social life and create more modern residential spaces.
Special attention will be given to developing a master plan for the coastal area to protect Alanya's shoreline and harmonize it with the marine environment.
Completion of İskele Street Renovation
The Municipality of Alanya has completed a major renovation of one of the city's key streets. Deputy Mayor Sadık Dizdaroğlu confirmed the completion of construction work and the upcoming upgrade of street lighting.
Renovation efforts in the city center continue without interruption, including weekends. Around 700 tons of asphalt have been laid on İskele Street, alongside sidewalk reconstruction and lighting modernization. The renewed street will be open before the start of the tourist season.
Büyükhasbahçe Street Renovation
Mayor of Alanya, Osman Tarık Özçelik, inspected the progress of the major renovation on Büyükhasbahçe Street, which connects the city center to northern districts.
The work began with the removal of old asphalt in the Hacet neighborhood. The project addresses road wear and tear, taking into account the feedback of local residents.
Eastern Ring Road Construction Nearing Completion
A tender has been announced for the tunnel lighting systems of Alanya’s Eastern Ring Road, a project aimed at significantly reducing traffic congestion in the city.
The road spans 15 km, including 4.5 km of tunnels, bridges, and overpasses. The tender for lighting and tunnel management is scheduled for March 6, with work expected to be completed within 420 days after the contract is signed.
Two Major Tenders: Beaches and Wastewater Treatment Facilities
A tender has been announced for leasing beach kiosks between Okurcalar and Kargıcak.
On March 11, a tender will take place for the maintenance and modernization of wastewater treatment facilities to eliminate unpleasant odors.
Stray Dogs to Become Garden Guards
The municipality is launching an "Adopt a Stray Animal" program, in which stray dogs will be assigned to guard banana and avocado plantations.
The animals will undergo neutering and vaccination before being placed in the gardens. This initiative aims to reduce crop theft while also addressing the issue of stray animals. Applications for participation can be submitted to Alanya's veterinary department.
